This is a one-of-a-kind school expedition that combines social enterprise work with activities that are fully supported. Our adventure begins in Phnom Penh, the capital city. Phnom Penh, once considered the most beautiful city in the Orient, is currently undergoing rapid change. Here, we explore the cultural and historical highlights in the same way that the locals do. We explore the local markets and points of interest.
We drive north to Siem Reap, stopping in Skuon village, famous for its local delicacies, before continuing to the bustling town of Siem Reap, the gateway to the Angkor Wat temples. Our group will take turns exploring the surroundings by bike and on foot. We go to Kompong Kleang village on Tonle Sap Lake to see how life is on the water in villages built on stilts – homes, schools, and hospitals designed to float on the water during the wet season. We set out on a journey through rural communities and wilderness terrain to the sacred peak of Kulen Mountain.
After months of planning and preparation the wait is finally over! On arrival you will be met by your guide and driver and transferred to your hotel. After check in we will have a full group trip and safety briefing before heading out for our first taste of Cambodian cuisine at a fine dinning restaurant.

Learning Outcome
Understanding Cambodia History, Culture and Traditions and Cambodia in Transition (past and present)
The programs are designed to help you develop the following life skills that will help you evolve as an individual
The ability to lead a group and make decisions;
The ability to adapt to new environments outside of their “comfort zone”; and the appreciation and care for the natural environment. The environments we trek through are beautiful and often pristine, and students will invariably gain a deeper appreciation and understanding of how their individual actions impact the environment.
Form strong friendships and bonds with their peers as well as the local peoples
Basic outdoor skills learned on the trek, such as personal hygiene, tent pitching, and meal preparation
Importantly, our adventures promote general well-being and resilience in younger generations, preparing them to deal with adversity in life.

Just over a month into my trip and I wonder how I’ve changed, if at all. Certainly the experiences I’ve had and things I’ve seen have shaped me in someway.
